Phone guide

A good meme.
No desktop required.

You only need a browser, a picture or template, and a line worth sharing.

1. Choose the setup

Open the editor and choose one of the original templates. A comparison needs two images; a classic reaction only needs Image 1. On a phone, the controls appear above the preview.

2. Add your captions

Write one thought per panel. If a caption needs three explanations, simplify it. The preview fits text inside its caption area. You can reduce the type size for a longer line, but check readability at the size someone will see in a chat.

3. Add a photo, if you want

Tap Image 1 or Image 2. Choose a PNG, JPG, or WebP under 10 MB and 30 megapixels. If the photo looks cropped, switch Image fit from Fill panel to Fit image. Portrait photos usually fit a portrait canvas more naturally than a wide one.

4. Download the result

Tap Download PNG or Export JPG. The browser may save the image in Downloads rather than Photos. Check the browser’s download list or Files, then use the device’s share or save-image action. CaptionSprout does not automatically post your meme.

If a download does not start

Open the editor in Safari or Chrome if you arrived through an in-app browser. Make sure the template has appeared in the preview. Try PNG if JPG is unavailable, and keep the tab open while the export finishes.

Keep a draft

Save draft remembers captions and settings in this browser. It does not save uploaded photos. Restore on this device and re-add your photos. Clearing browser storage also clears drafts.
